Scout Days

Scout Days are opportunities for Scouts and their families to receive discounts on events with our community partners. Many of our partners also offer merit badge classes and advancement workshops for Cub Scouts and Webelos.

iFLY makes the dream of flight a reality with indoor skydiving in a safe and fun environment. iFLY offers special rates and programs for Scout outings! Sea Star Base is a multi-million dollar, state-of-the-art seaside facility in Galveston, Tx. Explore the diverse natural wonders of the Texas Gulf Coast marine environment. Master the maritime skills needed to navigate the open ocean. Discover the value of teamwork when working with your crew and meet old friends and new ones. ​Cub Scouts can attend Splash Weekends to earn requirements towards the new aquatics program and a variety of STEM / Nova classes. Boy Scouts can attend weekend adventures and summer high adventure activities. Adventures include a variety activities such as kayaking, small boat sailing, big boat sailing, beach volleyball. scuba diving, crew-to-crew competition, STEM/Nova courses and more.

Bayou Land Conservancy offers free workshop opportunities for Scouts to work on advancement requirements in a unique manner while having a hands-on experience outdoors. The Schlumberger Merit Badge Day is a Boy Scout advancement opportunity open to any registered Boy Scout. A Scout has the opportunity to work on requirements for several merit badges. These are not give-away merit badges, and this is not a merit badge factory. Each Scout is expected to fulfill all the requirements by reading the merit badge book ahead of time, attending classes and doing prerequisites. Scouts are expected to participate fully during the class in order to receive full credit for the requirements completed. The Lone Star Light Museum has moved to 11551 Aerospace Ave, Houston, TX 77034 (near Ellington Field). They are having several Scout overnighters for Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and Venturers. The cost is $55 for Scouts and $45 for parents. Check-in begins at 6:00 pm., followed by a briefing at 6:45 pm and dinner at 7:15 pm. Scouts rotate through four activity areas from 8:00 - 10:45 pm (paper glider/airplane building session/competition; local hero lesson, snack break, museum scavenger hunt and tour, and a mentorship session/character/integrity and manners role play session. Day 2 begins at 7:00 am, breakfast is at 7:30 and participants depart the museum at 8:15 am. Boy Scouts can work on the Aviation Merit Badge (#1a-e, #4c,#5). Video. For more information, contact
